Straight outta 1991, nothing more complicated than a <br> it's....

Fensty's Ego Page

That's right!  No frames!  No flash!  Not even any Java!

Believe it or not, this home page was updated on or about March 2005.

That's impressive, being that the previous update said, "Hey, Maverick is HERE" - meaning it'd last been updated about September 2002.  Hey, I've been busy.

OK, so...let's get down to it, shall we?

Welcome to my "ego page."

I find that term to be pretty accurate of these type of pages.   "Personal Web Page" sounds too 90's-techno-pretentious.  Other terms like "my site" I don't even want to get into...  Please note this is an oldschool Web page.  No frames, or scripts, or Java applets.  Deal with it.  I like it this way.

So...you have found me!  Jeff Fenstermacher, from Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

Nicks and aliases going back to my first modem call at 300 baud, circa 1982:  Fensty, JD Fensty, JDFensty, The Nazgul and The Nazgūl.

Why'd you find me?

Are we family?  Or are you another Fenstermacher who MIGHT be distant family?  Hey, so many of us are descended from Mathais Fenstermacher one way or another, eh?

Did you just randomly plug Fensty or Fenstermacher into Google or some other search engine?  Or just randomly type "www.fensty.com" into your web browser?

Perhaps you were looking for me as someone who once attended Freedom High School, East Hills Middle School, or Governor Wolf Middle school?  Maybe even Northampton Community College?

Or...did we work together?  Going back to my first job in the 80's, that could have been at Macada Service Mobil, Nazareth Pike Shell, the Sheraton Jetport, Two Bits Computer Corner, Schmell's Shell, Domino's Pizza, Pizza Hut, Lady Foot Locker, Omnipoint, VoiceStream Wireless, or T-Mobile Wureless USA.

Were we BBS Geeks together back in the mid 80's to mid 90's?  Back when I was known as Fensty, JD Fensty, and later The Nazgul / The Nazgūl?

Did we hang out together on Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania BBS's like Irata BBS, Murphy's Bar BBS, OSB Systems, Planet of Magrethea, City Under Siege, Rosie's Bar, Stalag 13, Corby's BBS, Infinite Dimensions, or any of several dozen other local BBS's who's names are lost in the depths of my memory?

Did you call my BBS - either The Control Tower (not the original Atari Control Tower of the early 80's) or Minas Morgul BBS?  Were you ever a Humble Guys Dist Site?

Were you a member of the infinitely short-lived little Warez group FCC?

Were you a member of the even shorter-lived "anarchy" group FIPO?

Did you just plain hate Ed Schenk like everyone else on BBS's in the Lehigh Valley back then?

Well, for whatever reason, you've found yourself here on fensty.com - and if you'd like to email me, you can do so at:  jdfensty@yahoo.com

A brief explanation of "Fensty" for the confused or uninitiated:  Why Fensty?  Well, with a name like Fenstermacher, this is what your grade-school friends INVARIABLY name you.  I don't know ANY male Fenstermacher who was not called Fensty at some point.  Females, I dunno, but presumably...

Anyway, when I first got into BBS's ("What IS a BBS anyway?" you ask...) in the early 80's, it was only natural I chose Fensty as my "handle."  Yes, we called them that back then, not screennames or nicks or aliases.  C'mon, the CB Radio was still popular at the dawn of the BBS age!

So, that has carried on for over 22 years now, I have always been Fensty or JD Fensty online...all my usernames/registrations/etc. are under that nickname...though, in the Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania BBS scene of the 90's, I was also known as "The Nazgūl" for a period of time.  As far as I've been able to tell, I was the first Fensty on the Internet.  Most certainly, the first one on Usenet message groups since they began to be archived.  If there are others who can dispute the claim, feel free to let me know!

So what is a Fenstermacher anyway?

Mustang / Car Stuff:

As I'm very active in newsgroups and webboards on Mustangs, most people who find their way to www.fensty.com tend to be looking for this stuff:

My 00 Mustang GT 'vert - Click for Info

R.A.M.F.M - the usenet newsgroup rec.autos.makers.ford.mustang.  I am active on this newsgroup, as I am the proud and happy owner of a 2000 Mustang GT Convertible which has been at the local drag track a few times...

A.C.F-P - is the usenet group alt.cars.ford-probe.   Not really as active a newsgroup as RAMFM, but I often post on this group also as I still have my 1989 Ford Probe GT.

For the benefit of car lovers, I've also organized a folder of "car songs" on the FTP Site.

For Mustang websites, I'd recommend www.corral.net for the quality of info, and www.mustangworld.com for the pinup art.  :)

For Probes, just check out www.probetalk.com as it's probably all you need, and has a great links section if you want more info.

You can read my scary life history with the automobile here.

Other Fensty junk:

(ego! ego! ego!)

Biographical info / life story (ego! ego! ego!) of me?  Including photos!  Wow!  You KNOW you are psyched now!

(ok, so I never did this yet.  Read the car stories, they're a snapshot history)

Feel like spying on the cats or their owners?  Click here for BATH-CAM.   (In October, this will become Baby-Cam I guess :)

We bought our first home in December of '00.  Here are a couple photos of the house...

We go to Disney World several times a year, yeah, we're addicts.   Check out these two photos of the flag at half mast.   Weird.

Eventually, I plan a whole seperate set of Disney pages for this site, but haven't "gotten around to it yet."

My FTP Site contains a bunch of E-Books, lots of MP3s, a folder of just "Car Songs", and soundfiles of my Mustang's Bassani exhaust.

Since the attacks, so many bits of artwork and pictures have been flying around the 'net.  Some inspiring, and some tasteless.   But they all put me in the mind of the old WWI/WWII war bond posters...so here are a few images of real War Bonds and other WWI/II vintage posters...

I'm addicted to MP3's and have over 14000 of them now, you can hit my FTP Site to root through what's there, if you want.

I play Ultima Online, just the latest in a string of online game obessions (well, not anymore really...I hardly even play these days, but I send them $9.99 a month to keep my characters alive anyway...)

And, of course, what ego page would be complete without a link to the page owner's pet(s)?  This is Eric's page.  Eric the cat.  (I once tried to get him a cat license, but....)  You can also see pictures of Ming and Jade on the page, the new kitties.
