Rutland Photo Gallery: Train Time at Malone Junction The depot at Malone Junction, New York is bustling with activity as a New York Central passenger train makes its station stop in a turn-of-the-century (the previous one, unfortunately) postcard view full of wonderful details: a ball signal and tender's shanty, a taxi from the Howard House, a baggage wagon piled high with luggage and express, etc. etc. The Rutland's tracks cross on a diamond on the far side of the building. The station building still stands today. During the 1970s it was renovated into a restaurant/bar and has since been converted into a doctor's office, and is in use as such today. ---Postcard in the collection of Don McNulty--- |
