He married Rosa Shaar Garner May 18, 1904. (Rosa Shaar Garner is #898.) Rosa was born July 28, 1886. Rosa died December 30, 1945 at 59 years of age. Her body was interred in Willow, Amherst County, Virginia, Amherst Cemetery.

Wesley T. Garner and Rosa Shaar Garner had the following children:

3 ii. Evelyn Mae Garner (#1809) was born in Willow, Amherst County, Virginia March 13, 1915. She married Cary Irvin (Hap) Nicholas in Willow, Amherst County, Virginia, November 5, 1938. (Cary Irvin (Hap) Nicholas is #498.) Cary was born February 01, 1913. Cary is the son of John Ambler Nicholas and Teresa LaTour (Tessie) Stinnett.
