31. Matthew W.⁵ Jennings (John William⁴, John William³, Benjamin², James¹) (#1498) was born July 19, 1845.

He married twice. He married Willie R. Parr. (Willie R. Parr is #1588.) Willie was born February 12, 1847. Willie was the daughter of William Parr and Martha Blount Parr. He married Virginia A. Jeffries July 29, 1866. (Virginia A. Jeffries is #1538.)

Matthew W. Jennings and Willie R. Parr had the following children:

79 i. Emma Gray⁶ Jennings (#1594). She married ? Burford. (? Burford is #1595.)

80 ii. Wilson V. Jennings (#1589) was born January 13, 1879. Wilson died July 4, 1880 at 1 year of age.

81 iii. Percy L. Jennings (#1592) was born August 31, 1880.

82 iv. Ashley P. Jennings (#1593) was born August 1, 1882.

Matthew W. Jennings and Virginia A. Jeffries had the following children:

83 v. Lucy Jennings (#1537) was born November 23, 1867. Lucy died August 24, 1952 at 84 years of age. Her body was interred in Elon, Virginia, Cornerstone Bapt. Chruch Cemeter. She married John William Jennings. (John William Jennings is #1536.) John was born November 27, 1863. John was the son of James E. Jennings and Margaret E. Parr. John died May, 1943 at 79 years of age. His body was interred in Elon, Virginia, Cornerstone Bapt. Chruch Cemeter. (See John William Jennings for the continuation of this line.)

84 vi. Leslie L. Jennings (#1586) was born January 28, 1870.

85 vii. Walter R. Jennings (#1587) was born January 14, 1873.
