17. John William4 Jennings Jr (John William3, Benjamin2, James1) (#1489) was born in Buckingham County, Virginia November 26, 1805. John died March 1, 1886 in Willow, Amherst County, Virginia, at 80 years of age. His body was interred Jenning's Family Cemetery.

He married Elizabeth A. Vernon. (Elizabeth A. Vernon is #1491.) Elizabeth was born in Charlotte County, Virginia June 3, 1812. Elizabeth was the daughter of Jonathan Vernon. Elizabeth died March 22, 1885 at 72 years of age.

John William Jennings Jr and Elizabeth A. Vernon had the following children:

child 25 i. Abner5 Jennings (#1503). Abner died April, 1862.

child 26 ii. Martha A. Jennings (#1493) was born in Buckingham County, Virginia August 28, 1833. Martha died August 17, 1904 at 70 years of age. Her body was interred in Willow, Amherst County, Virginia, Amherst Cemetery. She married William M. Johnson Novmber 6, 1851. (William M. Johnson is #1504.) William was born March 24, 1822. William was the son of Richard Johnson and Elizabeth Trible. (See William M. Johnson for the continuation of this line.)

child 27 iii. Mary Susan Jennings (#1494) was born February 12, 1835. Mary died January 11, 1912 at 76 years of age. Her body was interred in Lynchburg, Lynchburg, Virginia, Spring Hill Cemetery. She married twice. She married Hanry S. Beasley. (Hanry S. Beasley is #1522.) Hanry was born 1870. (See Hanry S. Beasley for the continuation of this line.) She married Powhatan Henson. (Powhatan Henson is #1528.) Powhatan was born 1906.

child 28 iv. Lou J. Jennings (#1495) was born September 9, 1836. Lou died September 1, 1856 at 19 years of age.

child + 29 v. James E. Jennings was born August, 1840.

child + 30 vi. Leroy Powhatan (Peter) Jennings was born Novermber 23, 1841.

child + 31 vii. Matthew W. Jennings was born July 19, 1845.

child + 32 viii. John Arias Jennings was born November 16, 1846.

child 33 ix. George S. Jennings (#1500) was born Novermber 18, 1850. He married Henry Ann Taliaferro June 10, 1875. (Henry Ann Taliaferro is #1605.)

child 34 x. William T. Jennings (#1501) was born 1853. He married twice. He married ? Old. (? Old is #1607.) He married Emma White 1875. (Emma White is #1606.)

child + 35 xi. Henry Beasley Jennings was born November 30, 1856.
