6/5: First in a series of five bicycle repair classes at Broadway Bikes! 6/1-3: Ran DargonZine's annual Writers' Summit, this year hosted by Rena Deutsch in San Jose and San Francisco, California. 5/26: Distributed DargonZine 14-5, which features two co-authored stories and begins two new series'. 5/26: 30-mile bike expedition to Winthrop, Mass, located on a narrow spit of land jutting out into Boston Harbor. Photo on Orny's Cycling Photos page. 5/22: Attended new rider orientation for the Pan-Mass Challenge. Please help me reach my fundraising goal by visiting the "Sponsor Orny's Ride" link on my bicycling page. 5/21: After sharing some Russian candy at the creative group meeting I led, ran home to accept my first delivery from Internet grocer HomeRuns.com. 5/20: Celebrated Inna's birthday with friends at the Temple Bar. 5/15: Returned to Boston's Community Boating with Inna. Maybe this year's the year... 5/12: Weekend in Maine visiting with my brother's family, and featuring my neice Jennifer's wedding. 5/9: Moving day! Puggle and I finally relo'ed to my new place in Copley Square overlooking Newbury Street! 4/28: Finally spent my brother's Xmas gift certificate to buy some cool Shimano cycling sandals! 4/28: Sent out DargonZine 14-4, which highlighted Mark Murray, who recently left the project. |

4/27: Took one of the new Breda's to Allston to see Beat Soup and pick up their excellent, but very long-awaited, new disc. 4/25: Two weeks before moving out of the Fenway area, I went with my work team from Waltham to see the accursed Red Sox pull defeat from the jaws of victory. 4/22: Super Earth Day! Fantastic weather, biked around with Jeanie, then went to the Roxy to see reggae forefathers the Wailers and Toots & the Maytals, and ran into some coworkers! 4/20: Caught Brit New Wave synth legend Gary Numan at Boston's Paradise rock club. 4/18: After 18 months of looking for aliens with SETI@Home, today I am within the top ¼ of 1% of their 3 million users. 4/17: Finished Margorie Garber's book "Bisexuality & the Eroticism of Everyday Life"; an interesting read, but lacking a strong thesis. 4/14: Went to Johnny D's in Somerville to see the Pressure Cooker. 4/8: Distributed DargonZine 14-3, which features an excellent story by our second new writer of the year, Charles Schweppe. 4/3: Attended a lecture at the BPL by usability consultant Steve Krug, author of "Don't Make Me Think!". 4/2: Began a project at a client site in Waltham, increasing my bike commute to 30 miles per day. My first week in Waltham I clocked 110 miles in just four days! |
