Nick6/30: Biked 70 miles out to Nick's housewarming party and back...

Dargon6/29: After a three-week delay due to the Scotland Summit, I finally was able to send out DargonZine 15-4.

6/25: Stung twice in the side by a yellowjacket who got in my cycling jersey on a ride out the Minuteman Bikeway to Bedford and back.

6/22: Biked Vanilla Coketwice to Malden, tried my first Vanilla Coke (it sux), then partied @ Mbloom's digs.

6/21: Party @ Smorto's new domicile.

Waking Life6/19: Bought my first ever DVDs: Waking Life and Heavy Metal, and TMBG's new album.

6/14: Shave Jer bald!Lunch with a bunch of former coworkers, then brought Jer home and Sha and I shaved his widdle skull. Then dinner at Diva and Beckycandlepin bowling at Bowl-Haven with Jeanie and her siblings Darwin & Becky.

6/13: Hurray for homeownership! Old water heaterMy water heater burst, but no damage, and I got to upgrade to a bigger model. Lesson: Buy a water alarm!

6/10: Biked 50 miles to Wellesley, then down to Canton, and back, but broke two spokes in the process...

Sha6/7: Dinner at Asmara (Ethiopian) with Jer & Sha & Inna & friends.

Jesse6/5: Dinner and drinks at Sunset with former coworker and glam star Jesse Nova!

NESADSU6/4: Began my summer class in typography at the New England School of Art & Design.

Edinburgh Castle from Arthur's Seat6/1: On the last day of the Scotland trip, toured the massive Edinburgh Castle, Arthur's Seat from Edinburgh Castlethen did some very serious climbing up the sheer face of Arthur's Seat.

5/31: Quick stop in Inverary, then on to Glasgow, Orny & Jon in Glasgowwhere we people-watched along Sauchiehall Street, visited the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, and tried some absynthe in a basement bar.

Glen Coe5/30: Drove through the indescribably impressive landscape around Glencoe, then crawled around the ruins of Dunstaffnage Castle, Orny at Dunstaffnage Castle on to the cairns and standing stones in Kilmartin Glen, then evening in Lochgilphead.

Orny at Loch Ness5/29: Spent the day along the shores of Loch Ness, Urquhart Castlethen toured the ruins of Urquhart Castle, and then on to Glencoe.

Victor's bald eagle5/28: Everyone had a fabulous time at the Huntley Falconry Centre, Stu's harris hawkthen we got a tour of the Glen Grant whisky distillery in Speyside, explored the impressive Clava CairnsGroup at Clava Cairn, and finally ended the day in Inverness.

5/27: Stu at Linn o' DeeWatched Stu, our Summit host, jump into the raging cataracts at the Linn o' Dee, visited an ancient hill fortress at Slains CastleLumphanan, and spent some time in Aberdeen. Made a midnight pilgrimage to the cliffside ruins Dafydd storytelling at Slains Castleof Slains Castle, where we told ghost stories we'd written under the light of a full, orange moon.

5/26: Checked out the Deep Sea World Jon at Deep Sea Worldaquarium, did some awesome karting, went to the Scottish Fisheries Museum (where I was told I look like football star and David Beckhammodel David Beckham), visited Crail Harbour, St. Andrews, and ended the day in Braemar.

5/25: Orny at Stirling CastleReturned to visit Stirling Castle in the morning, then met Summit freshman Victor Cardoso, Victor and the assembled group explored Edinburgh and took a witchery, ghosts, and gore tour.

5/24: StirlingArrived in Scotland for the 2002 Dargon Summit, and explored Stirling.

NESADSU5/23: The day I left on vacation, my formal acceptance to the NESAD electronic graphic design program arrived!

5/19: ECG RideClosed out Bike Week with a 50-mile ride along the East Coast Greenway from Charlestown to Hyde Park and back!

5/16: Trip to Maine to visit family.

5/15: Received an A and A- in my spring classes at NESAD, then dinner w/Jeanie, then off to Johnny D's to see JensonModus Devotion, formerly Matt Jenson's acid reggae group.

5/14: Bike Week continues: despite sporadic downpours and 50 MPH gusts, participated in the Charles River Wheelmen's "Mean Streets: Boston" ride.

5/12: Avoided Zakimthe rain and the organizers' inept planning by being one of the first of a quarter million people touring the Big Dig's new Zakim Bridge.

5/11: Observed the start of Mass Bike Week with two MassBike Bike Weekrides covering 50 miles and 17 of Boston's steepest and highest hills, followed by the Pedal In Film Fest at MassArt.

Scotland5/10: Finished reading "The Story of Scotland" in preparation for my trip!

5/9: Almost Sapienttwo years to the day after being added, Sapient was dropped from the S&P 500.

5/7: Resumed Nahantlast year's "tour de places with funny names" by riding 38 miles to Nahant.

5/6: Biked JFK Libraryto the JFK Library, where Ted Kennedy was presenting Flashan award to UN Sec. Gen. Kofi Annan! Also received my new copy of MacroMedia Flash MX!

Inna & Liz5/5: Celebrated Beltane by walking the last mile of the Walk for Hunger with Inna and Liz!

Advice5/4: Visited Inna & Liz's advice booth, then came CameraMatehome to my new Microtech CameraMate digital film reader.

5/3: Interesting article on working with polyamorous clients in the Electronic Journal of Human Sexuality, which led me to an article that gives a new name to a familiar poly feeling: compersion. There's also a Compersion Home Page, but it's OTL.

Amadeus5/2: Went and saw "Amadeus: the Director's Cut" Shogunwith Inna, then finished reading James Clavell's "Shogun".

5/1: 51-mile ride up the Minuteman Bikeway to DeCordovaBedford, Carlisle, Concord, Walden Pond, and the DeCordova Museum.

4/30: 24-mile ride up around the Middlesex Fells and back.

4/25: Hosted the first visit to my condo by my mother and aunt.

Standpipe4/21: Biked out to Arlington to meet Jer at the Park Circle Standpipe open house.

Geoffrey's4/20: Met up with some coworkers doing a fundraiser at Geoffrey's, the restaurant in my building's basement.

4/18: Murray HillIn this article the Boston Phoenix says that my former grand-boss Murray Hill is "the hardest-working middle aged man in show business"... Not!

4/15: Moseyed Rodgers Ropa block from my condo to the finish line of the Boston Marathon to see the Kenyans dominate.

4/14: Biked to Castle Island, Long Wharf, Charlestown Navy Yard, and to a celebratory dinner at Matt Murphy's in Brookline Village.

4/13: Biked down the Riverway to Larz Anderson Park, then back via the Southwest Corridor.

Flash4/10: Attended a seminar on Macromedia's new Flash MX. Also finished reading "IBM's 360 Bookand Early 370 Systems", a history of the early IBM mainframes that would form the backbone of BITNET.

4/9: After a solid lunch with the UE crüe at Bartley's Burger Barn, biked out to Belmont Wheelworks and picked up some road tires (well, 32c's) to replace my 40c hybrid tires.

Dargon4/7: Sent out DargonZine 15-2, featuring a great new story from P. Atchley and the conclusion of another by Victor Cardoso.

4/5: Picked up my bike at International Bike after a major overhaul, having worn out my chain and rear sprockets...

Calin4/4: Big day! After the couch and chair I'd ordered on 1/5 Shafrom Adesso was delivered, I had lunch with Sha at Bangkok Blue, then went out and bought a new printer!
