5/27: Watched Stu, our Summit host, jump into the raging cataracts at the Linn o' Dee, visited an ancient hill fortress at Lumphanan, and spent some time in Aberdeen. Made a midnight pilgrimage to the cliffside ruins of Slains Castle, where we told ghost stories we'd written under the light of a full, orange moon. 5/26: Checked out the Deep Sea World aquarium, did some awesome karting, went to the Scottish Fisheries Museum (where I was told I look like football star and model David Beckham), visited Crail Harbour, St. Andrews, and ended the day in Braemar. 5/25: Returned to visit Stirling Castle in the morning, then met Summit freshman Victor Cardoso, and the assembled group explored Edinburgh and took a witchery, ghosts, and gore tour. 5/24: Arrived in Scotland for the 2002 Dargon Summit, and explored Stirling. 5/23: The day I left on vacation, my formal acceptance to the NESAD electronic graphic design program arrived! 5/19: Closed out Bike Week with a 50-mile ride along the East Coast Greenway from Charlestown to Hyde Park and back! 5/16: Trip to Maine to visit family. 5/15: Received an A and A- in my spring classes at NESAD, then dinner w/Jeanie, then off to Johnny D's to see Modus Devotion, formerly Matt Jenson's acid reggae group. 5/14: Bike Week continues: despite sporadic downpours and 50 MPH gusts, participated in the Charles River Wheelmen's "Mean Streets: Boston" ride. 5/12: Avoided the rain and the organizers' inept planning by being one of the first of a quarter million people touring the Big Dig's new Zakim Bridge. 5/11: Observed the start of Mass Bike Week with two MassBike rides covering 50 miles and 17 of Boston's steepest and highest hills, followed by the Pedal In Film Fest at MassArt. 5/10: Finished reading "The Story of Scotland" in preparation for my trip! 5/9: Almost two years to the day after being added, Sapient was dropped from the S&P 500. 5/7: Resumed last year's "tour de places with funny names" by riding 38 miles to Nahant. 5/6: Biked to the JFK Library, where Ted Kennedy was presenting an award to UN Sec. Gen. Kofi Annan! Also received my new copy of MacroMedia Flash MX! 5/5: Celebrated Beltane by walking the last mile of the Walk for Hunger with Inna and Liz! |
