JBB3/9: Went to the Middle East to see Princes of Babylon and John Brown's Body.

3/9: Long-awaited DargonZine 15-1Dave came out, starting our 18th year by introducing new writer Dave Fallon!

3/9: Went to the Boston Paddle & Bike Show.

3/7: Followed beers for Sapient employees by a great time having beers with Sapient alumni. OnTrackThen rounded out a great day by getting my dead hard drive backup from OnTrack!

3/5: Very impressed by JensonBerklee faculty Matt Jenson's acid reggae group, who played a funky melange of jazz to a two-tone beat!

3/2: Party at Jeanie's.

Sapient2/26: Sapient let go 550 people in a third round of layoffs; I get to work out a final 30 days.

J. Hill2/23: Went to the Middle East to see one of the two living reggae gods: the incomparable Joseph Hill and his band Culture.

Carlo2/23: After almost 15 years with DargonZine, we lost one of our most valuable members: Carlo Samson. Good luck, Carlo!

Bim8/22: Went out to Davis Square to see Bim Skala Bim play at Johnny D's.

Bookcases2/22: Xmas came early this year! Not only did my new bookcases arrive, but my newly-repaired laptop came home, too!

Sapient2/21: Celebrated my seventh anniversary at Sapient.

2/20: Surprised Artworkmyself by creating a font study of Frutiger for class that was accidentally topical and a propos to the font's history!

2/19: PugPug had a long, hard night, with a trip to the hospital and then the vet. He was diagnosed with what appears to be a one-time urinary tract infection, and after a couple days he seemed much better.

NESADSU2/16: Great day! Began the day with my first class in Adobe IllustratorPug at NESAD. Then got a call from the vet who said Pug's LJtests had all come back negative. Then signed Drum & Danceup and wrote my first entries on LiveJournal. Finally, had an awesome time at Drum & Dance!

2/15: Celebrated Lilyhow old Jer is getting by visiting the Coolidge Corner Theatre for a midnight showing of the Don & Bill Show.

Kreg2/14: Killed Valentines Day at Harpers Ferry, seeing Pressure Cooker.

2/12:Vendome Led a residents' committee meeting to brainstorm about a Vendome Web site.

Cats: How to Draw Them2/10: Read "Cats: How to Draw Them". They tell me cats *sell*!

2/8: Saw Beat Soup at the Common Ground. The opener, Westbound Train, Beat Souphad to compete with one TV showing a replay of the Patriots' Super Bowl victory, and another showing the Olympics' opening ceremonies! Right after the show, I drove up to Maine for a visit, getting in at 5:45am!

2/8: Re-read Albert Camus' "The StrangerThe Stranger", this time in English! Still owe M. Ayotte a debt of gratitude for introducing us to Existentialism in high school French class!

Bag2/7: Received my new bike bag, which I designed myself at the Timbuk2 site!

Scotland2/5: Read "A Traveller's History of Scotland" in preparation for the 2002 Dargon Summit!

Manze/Egarr2/2: Saw Manze & Egarr play early violin sonatas in a BEMF concert at a church while Drum & Dance took place simultaneously in the basement!

Hawk1/27: Rode within a couple feet of a Cooper's Hawk on a 24-mile bike ride in a 60-degree January thaw.

1/26: Inna and I broke up; I know it's an old refrain, but this time it should stick.

The Truth1/25: Finished reading Terry Pratchett's Discworld novel "The Truth".

Reggie1/23: Went to the FleetCenter to see the Celtics squeeze a 4-point win out of future hall of famer Reggie Miller and the Indiana Pacers!

1/22: My first condo association annual meeting.

LotR1/20: Saw the first of the Lord of the Rings trilogy of movies with Jeanie. Overall, pretty good, but as a longtime fan, I of course have more opinions than that!

Vaio1/17: My 18 month-old Sony laptop died a horrible death. Now I have to salvage what I can from it.

Angel1/14: Dinner with former SO Angel at the Cheesecake Factory.

1/14: Registered for the 2002 Pan-Mass ChallengePMC. This year I'll be doing 30 more miles and covering much more hilly terrain in raising money for cancer research.

1/13: Read "Conversations CWG bookwith God", a book with a very creative premise, and a few really useful nuggets of philosophy buried amidst quite a pile of repetition and common thought. Want to know what I got out of it?

Paul O'Dette1/12: An inspiring recital on vihuela by Paul O'Dette as part of the Boston Early Music Festival.

1/11: These eyes they follow after you... Caught righteous lineup of BimBim Skala Bim and Pressure Cooker at the Middle East!

Book1/9: Finished reading "The Complete Book of Long-Distance Cycling". Highly recommended!

1/8: It was only a couple inches, but it was enough to qualify as the first snow biking event of the season!

Maker1/6: Made my first batch of ice cream (vanilla, of course) in my new ice cream maker!

1/5:Calin Finally ordered a couch and chair. Too bad it won't arrive for more than three months!

1/1:Diva Fun dinner with Inna and friends at Diva Indian Bistro and the Diesel Cafe.

Book1/1: Finished reading Anne Rice's vampire trilogy. Impression: imaginative, but not the best writing I've seen.
