work at Sapient; began what should be a productive, enjoyable, and well-earned summer sabbatical!
3/15: Read Sartre's "Existentialism and Human Emotions.
3/14: Hit a squirrel on my bike during my commute home...
3/11: Finished reading "Existentialism From Dostoevsky to Sartre".
3/9: Went to the Middle East to see Princes of Babylon and John Brown's Body.
3/9: Long-awaited DargonZine 15-1
came out, starting our 18th year by introducing new writer Dave Fallon!
3/9: Went to the Boston Paddle & Bike Show.
3/7: Followed beers for Sapient employees by a great time having beers with Sapient alumni.
Then rounded out a great day by getting my dead hard drive backup from OnTrack!
3/5: Very impressed by
Berklee faculty Matt Jenson's acid reggae group, who played a funky melange of jazz to a two-tone beat!
3/2: Party at Jeanie's.
2/26: Sapient let go 550 people in a third round of layoffs; I get to work out a final 30 days.
2/23: Went to the Middle East to see one of the two living reggae gods: the incomparable Joseph Hill and his band Culture.
2/23: After almost 15 years with DargonZine, we lost one of our most valuable members: Carlo Samson. Good luck, Carlo!
8/22: Went out to Davis Square to see Bim Skala Bim play at Johnny D's.
2/22: Xmas came early this year! Not only did my new bookcases arrive, but my newly-repaired laptop came home, too!
2/21: Celebrated my seventh anniversary at Sapient.
2/20: Surprised
myself by creating a font study of Frutiger for class that was accidentally topical and a propos to the font's history!
2/19: Pug
had a long, hard night, with a trip to the hospital and then the vet. He was diagnosed with what appears to be a one-time urinary tract infection, and after a couple days he seemed much better.
