The Rider12/27: Began my post-Xmas reading binge with Tim Krabbé's cycling classic "The Rider", followed Every Second Countsclosely by Lance Armstrong's new book, "Every Second Counts".

Illuminations12/20: Began the evening gawking at holiday lights with Inna on the Somerville Illuminations Tour, then drove Inna's fabulous Accordnew car for the first time while passing over the newly-opened southbound side of the Zakim Bridge and Central Artery tunnel!

12/18: The final issue of the year, DargonDargonZine 16-5 went out, with stories from Dave and Dafydd. Today our new RSS feed went live, as well!

12/12: Rani Indian BistroWent with Inna to the brand new Rani Indian Bistro in Coolidge Corner that replaced the much-loved Bombay Bistro.

12/9: After free lunch at Sunset with Sheeri and party, Bob Ballardcaught a lecture at the New England Aquarium by Bob Ballard, discoverer of the Titanic, PT-109, and others.

Master and Commander11/23: Inna & I saw the excessively-titled "Master And Commander: The Far Side of the World".

11/9: CyWrapped up eighties week with Boston's Flynn – the new reincarnation of the Cliffs of Dooneen – and the Fixx at Axis.

11/5: Mike PetersEighties week continued with Mike Peters and the Alarm hitting the Middle East upstairs.

10/26: Orny@UncaBiked two more major New England paved summit climbs: 1300-foot South Uncanoonuc and 2260-foot Pack Monadnock.

10/23: Went to a lecture by Stephanie Schorow, author of "Boston on Fire: A History Boston on Fireof Fires and Firefighting in Boston, which features an entire chapter on the 1972 fire in my building that claimed the lives of nine firefighters.

10/22: BDSM munch, then dinner with Inna at Helmand.

Amistad10/21: After biking Great Blue Hill, checked out the recreated 78' two-masted slave trade topsail schooner Amistad at Fan Pier.

10/19: Went to the MoS for "Digging TrinityInto the Back Bay: Technology and Transformation", a panel discussion about Copley Square's Trinity Church and its $42m renovation.

Drums10/18: Sold my old acoustic drum kit! Yay!

Prospect Hill10/16: Biked out to Prospect Hill in Waltham and kicked around with Inna before hightailing it back to town to catch the first public showing of the preliminary Greenway filmdesigns for the Rose Kennedy Greenway, which will replace the soon to be former elevated Central Artery

The Mismapping of America10/14: Saw Seymour Schwartz, author of "The Mismapping of America", speak at the BPL.

48 Hour Film Project10/13: Attended the screening of eight film shorts with Inna as part of the 48 Hour Film Project.

Boston Map Detail10/10: Checked out the "Faces & Places" exhibit, celebrating the BPL's new Norman B. Leventhal Map Center.

Zafu!10/6: Received traditional Buddhist zafu and zabuton as an early birthday present!

Mosquito Mountain10/4: Made a soggy journey with my mother to visit our former camp in northern Maine.
