11/1: Began eighties week with a KMFDM concert at Axis and injuring my back. 10/30: Attended a lecture on Spanish master painter Diego Velázquez at CCAE. 10/29: Did 40 seeing the Bad Art Ensemble at the Plough & Stars. 10/26: Biked two more major New England paved summit climbs: 1300-foot South Uncanoonuc and 2260-foot Pack Monadnock. 10/23: Went to a lecture by Stephanie Schorow, author of "Boston on Fire: A History of Fires and Firefighting in Boston, which features an entire chapter on the 1972 fire in my building that claimed the lives of nine firefighters. 10/22: BDSM munch, then dinner with Inna at Helmand. 10/21: After biking Great Blue Hill, checked out the recreated 78' two-masted slave trade topsail schooner Amistad at Fan Pier. 10/19: Went to the MoS for "Digging Into the Back Bay: Technology and Transformation", a panel discussion about Copley Square's Trinity Church and its $42m renovation. 10/18: Sold my old acoustic drum kit! Yay! |

10/17: Distributed DargonZine 10/16: Biked out to Prospect Hill in Waltham and kicked around with Inna before hightailing it back to town to catch the first public showing of the preliminary designs for the Rose Kennedy Greenway, which will replace the soon to be former elevated Central Artery 10/14: Saw Seymour Schwartz, author of "The Mismapping of America", speak at the BPL. 10/13: Attended the screening of eight film shorts with Inna as part of the 48 Hour Film Project. 10/10: Checked out the "Faces & Places" exhibit, celebrating the BPL's new Norman B. Leventhal Map Center. 10/6: Received traditional Buddhist zafu and zabuton as an early birthday present! 10/4: Made a soggy journey with my mother to visit our former camp in northern Maine. |
