9/26: Went to an SRO I. M. Peiinterview at the Kennedy Presidential Library of its designer, I. M. Pei, whose work includes the Hancock Tower and an expansion of the Louvre, by Pulitzer-winning Boston Globe architecture critic Robert Campbell.

9/24: Had fun meeting some folks at the monthly PolyBoston meeting at the Diesel.

Eli Jaxon-Bear9/22: At Harvard Coop, attended a talk by Eli Jaxon-Bear, author of "Sudden Awakening: Into Direct Realization" and founder of the Leela Foundation.

9/20: Who would respond to an automobile killing Councilor Jerry McDermotta cyclist by calling a meeting about pedestrian signs and crosswalks, and then tell the hundred-odd cyclists who showed up that bicycle safety issues were out of scope of the discussion? Boston City Councilors Jerry McDermott and Rob Consalvo, that's who. Thanks, guys.

Hiti9/11: Visited the Druid in Inman Square for the first time to have some beers & play dominoes with new (hopefully non-lame) friend Hiti.

Toasters Live in Sao Paulo9/9: Despite my lame-assed friends cancelling out, still went out and saw the Toasters and Pietasters at the Middle East with a very non-lame Inna.

NESAD flyer9/7: At the first graphic design class of the semester at NESAD, I discovered that I'm on the cover of the NESAD continuing ed fall catalog!

DZ flyer9/4: Printed, trimmed (by hand, full bleed), and put out 600 DargonZine flyers at WorldCon / Noreascon, then had dinner for the first time at Shanti (aka Taste of India) with ShantiDargonZine writer and lifetime achievement award winner Dafydd.

8/21: Weekend trip to Maine.

The Good City: Writers Explore 21st-Century Boston8/17: Read the tedious Boston propaganda book "The Good City: Writers Explore 21st-Century Boston", which was given free to the delegates to the Democratic National Convention..

8/14: Rode both the Saturday Quad Cycles ride as well as a BRC ride around Weston and Sudbury.

The Secret Symbols of the Dollar Bill8/10: Finished reading the mildly disappointing "The Secret Symbols of the Dollar Bill".

8/8: Completed the two-day, 194-mile PMC ride from Sturbridge to Provincetown and spent the afternoon at the beach with Jeanie.

Orny starts the PMC8/7: Rode 127 miles on the first day of my fourth Pan-Mass Challenge to raise money for cancer research and prevention.

Orny presenting plaque7/18: Concluded the 2004 Dargon Summit by recognizing Dafydd with a lifetime achievement award, and hitting Liam in the head while playing disc golf.

Orny working hot steel7/17: Got the 2004 Dargon Summit off right, with a blacksmithing demo. Afterwards, Multnomah Fallsvisited the Columbia River Gorge's 176-foot Horsetail and 620-foot Multnomah Falls, then the group Dargon writers at Vista Housecaught the sunset at Vista House, 733 feet above the river.

Orny near Lost Lake7/16: Got a bit lost while riding mountainous MHCC Stage 5, but still had a great 60-mile ride out to Lost Lake.

Orny at Rowena Crest7/15: Rented a bike and rode 3 of the 5 stages in Oregon's Mount Hood Cycling Classic, then went up to the Liam & Mt. Hood from Cloud Cap InnCloud Cap Inn on the slopes of Mt. Hood with my fellow DargonZine writers.

7/11: Where's George?Capped a 275-mile biking week with a ride out to a Where's George gathering in Lexington.

7/3: Just one month before the PMC, was taken down by the guy in front of me on a Quad Cycles ride.

7/1: Saturn from CassiniAfter watching the orbital insertion of NASA's Cassini-Huygens spacecraft, attended a lecture on it at the BPL.
