My last full day in California was spent in Disneyland, woohoo!  At first I scoffed at the mere thought of even visiting the land of  the Evil Mouse, but then my curiosity got the better of me and killed this cat.  I wanted to see how different it was from Disneyworld, which is the only one I've seen.  I've heard several reports of Disneyland being much better.  Now that I have visited both, I have to admit that Disneyland is cooler, mainly because it has a more "classic" Disney feel to the place.  Disneyworld seems far too commercialised for my taste...

In Disneyland, the magical world of "Yesterday, Tomorrow, and Fantasy" still lives on.

My favourite attraction at Disneyland was in Adventureland - The Enchanted Tiki Room.

It has been rumoured that the Enchanted Tiki Room at Disneyland is under threat of demolition!  ::GASP::  This isn't good folks.  I'd be a very gloomy Eeyore if the Tiki Room were to be replaced by a food court.  This is a CLASSIC and HISTORIC Disney attraction we're talking about here!

To help in the campaign to save this wonderful attraction, Chris Wingert (AKA Disneyguy) has started an organisation called Friends of the Tiki Room.  He is also in partnership with Operation: Preserve Disneyland.  Quite an active fellow, and he's doing a great job!!  Please do your part--pay a visit to his website and join the Friends of the Enchanted Tiki Room!!!
