Sofía is an actress and a writer who takes advantage of every artistic opportunity that comes her way in the form of theater, film, poetry and script writing. She graduated from Columbia College Chicago with training in both theater and film and with a passion for cultural history. Sofia enjoys challenging opportunities where she can utilize many of her skills. Sofia enjoys working with the ¡Salsation! family because "we eat, drink, fight, and swear in Spanish - I feel at home." She is elated to take part as an active writer and also to perform an array of characters. Sofia is no stranger to having "multiple personalities" as she has played a student, an old church lady, an eccentric homeless person, and a vixen in the show, Transit Blues. Sofia has also had her poetry published and she has performed as a poet at the 2000 Chicago Jazz Festival. Sofia is preparing to move to L.A. to pursue film and TV work.

Joseph A. Nuñez* |
![]() |
(please read in a Michael Caine voice) is a native Chicagoan who grew up aspiring to one day to become a world renowned Cardiovascular Surgeon. Instead, he became an Actor / Improvisor for the high stability and abundant financial reward synonymous with such a lucrative and specialized field. In hindsight, Joe credits his adoring mother who dragged (or is it drugged?) him out at a very young age to his first Second City Revue. Since then, Joe has written and / or performed with The Annoyance Theater, The Improv Olympic, and with The Second City National Touring Company. Beyond Salsation, his other Chicago credits include: The Fandom Menace (Chicago and L.A. Companies): and the improvised indie film Crushed directed by Lauretta Tagli. Joseph would like to thank God, family and friends, and this vary talented cast, for their love, support, and an occasional loan. He now resides in L.A. and performs with Salsation spin-off Barrio Speedwagon at ImprovOlympic West.
