Welcome to the home page of the Chicago Area Golfers Association (CAGA). The association was formed to promote the game of golf within the Chicagoland area by providing information on local courses and covering events and other items of interest to local golfers.

FEATURED COURSE

This month's featured course is Dubsdread at Cog Hill in Lemont, Illinois. Nationally ranked since it opened in 1964, Course #4 has acquired the nickname, "Dubsdread". A natural style golf course, Dubsdread is known not only for its demands on shot making, but also for its vast displays of natural beauty. Tight landing areas combined with heavily bunkered, large undulating greens make this course a test for the best. It is here that the Western Open will be contested.

Above is the tough par 3 sixth hole--considered a signature hole by many. It's a long par 3 (226 yards from the back tee) with a two-tiered green that slopes toward the front and is surrounded by six deep sand bunkers. More challenging holes at Dubsdread can be seen in the "Best Holes" section.
