Spaghetti Meat Sauce
From My Kitchen....
Ingredients
- 5 1/5 lbs lean ground beef
- 1 whole onion, puree
- 1 whole garlic bulbs, puree
- Three small cans of tomato paste
- Two large cans of tomato puree
- Salt and pepper
- Oregano, basil, and
marjoram
- Butter
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- Fry the onions until
they are brown.
- Add beef and cook on low heat (stirring every 15
minutes or so) until beef is fully cooked and (almost) all water
has evaporated. (about an hour?)
- Add garlic and spices.
- Add tomato paste and stir until mixed.
- Add tomato puree and sugar.
- Cook on low heat for about an hour.
Excellent to freeze and rethaw.
