Spaghetti Meat Sauce

From My Kitchen....

Ingredients

  • 5 1/5 lbs lean ground beef
  • 1 whole onion, puree
  • 1 whole garlic bulbs, puree
  • Three small cans of tomato paste
  • Two large cans of tomato puree
  • Salt and pepper
  • Oregano, basil, and marjoram
  • Butter
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  1. Fry the onions until they are brown.
  2. Add beef and cook on low heat (stirring every 15 minutes or so) until beef is fully cooked and (almost) all water has evaporated. (about an hour?)
  3. Add garlic and spices.
  4. Add tomato paste and stir until mixed.
  5. Add tomato puree and sugar.
  6. Cook on low heat for about an hour.

Excellent to freeze and rethaw.
