Mr. Stark is the President of stark realities, a Mariposa California-based media firm. He is also a well-known lecturer on Internet-related technical and policy issues and has been writing about the Internet for the computer trade press since 1994.

Mr. Stark is also a life-long science fiction fan. "A Season in Methven" is his first published work of fiction.

Mr. Brooks is an artist, typographer, HTML author and Principal of Berkeley, California-based Rex Brooks Communications Design, which specializes in creating custom content for innovative Web sites. Mr. Brooks is also co-chair of the Web3D Consortium's VRML-IPR Task Group.

He is also an omnivorous reader of science fiction and fantasy. He played the character of Drew Wilde in the roleplaying game from which this story is drawn. "A Season in Methven" is his first collaboration as a science fiction illustrator.
