Pinched Nerves and Subluxations

What Are They? What Causes Them? Symptoms

What Are They?

The most common obstruction to the free flow of energy throughout the nervous system is a Subluxation, a vertebra that is out of proper structural alignment. Subluxations usually result in Nerve Interference, commonly known as a "pinched" nerve. Nerve interference creates an environment of imbalance and disease within the human body. This means that the nervous system is unable to properly perform it's job of transmitting messages from the brain and spinal cord to the rest of the body. This results in cells not getting the amount of oxygen they need to work properly; ultimately causing various health problems.

The correction of spinal subluxations allow the spine to function at its optimum level. Since the spine regulates the immune system, this can bring dramatic improvements to a person's state of health, enhancing their resistance to infection, disease and disability. When vertebrae are out of alignment, the spinal column ceases to function the way nature intended. Back to top

What Causes Them?

Subluxations are caused by trauma to the body. There are sudden traumas like falls and accidents. The slip and fall, automobile accidents and sports injuries fall into this category. There are also traumas that are attained in a gradual wear and tear fashion. Gradually attained traumas are caused by poor occupational and personal habits which include long hours of driving, poor posture, awkward sitting positions, unsafe lifting maneuvers, birthing traumas, stress, sudden twisting actions and repetitive motions. Symptoms

Pain is only one kind of symptom (and usually the last) that indicates that something in the body is not working properly. Other symptoms of nerve interference manifest in the form of organ dysfunction, respiratory, digestive, and immune system problems. If the problems that are caused by nerve interference are treated with medication only temporary relief, if any will be experienced.

The more obvious and immediate result of a pinched nerve can be a decrease in mobility and range of motion. Of more serious concern, however, is the impingement of one or more nerves which interferes with the proper functioning and healing of vital parts of the body. Because most subluxations are not painful and usually not noticeable in the early stages, they may go undetected and uncorrected for years. This can result in serious and permanent damage to organs or to the spine itself. Such spinal damage may include the development of bone spurs, arthritis, spinal fusion and finally vertebral degeneration. Back to top
