Tournament Rules

  1. AFA Rules
  2. 12 run rule after 3 1/2 - 4 innings
  3. 8 run rule after 4 1/2 - 5 innings
  4. No new inning will start after 1 1/2 hours (except championship games.) Championship game will be 7 innings + tiebreaker, if necessary
  5. Home team must bat equal # of times if behind. (Bracket and elimination rounds)
  6. Bracket games can end in a tie. International tiebreaker after 7 innings. (Time permitting in bracket games)
  7. International tiebreaker in elimination round after 7 innings or 1 1/2 hours, whichever comes first
  8. Coin flip determines home/visitor in bracket games
  9. In the elimination round the higher seeded team has the choice of home or away
  10. Game time is forfeit time
  11. PRIOR to your first game you must check in at the concession stand at the sight of your first game. All teams must show their insurance certificate and AFA registration. Birth certificates and official rosters must be in the possession of the team manager at all times.
  12. No soft toss against any fence or backstop
  13. No alcoholic beverages are permitted at any site
  14. The Tournament Director reserves the right to change/modify the format in case of inclement weather.
  15. Elimination round seeding: won/loss, head to head, runs allowed, runs scored, coin flip
  16. 12U pitching distance will be 40'
  17. 10U Rules:
    1. No dropped third strike (batter cannot advance)
    2. Bases will be 60'
    3. Pitching distance will be 35'
  18. When in doubt, apply common sense or ask

At check in, prior to your first bracket game, you will receive the MVO medallions for your opponents. These are to be awarded to an opposing player at the conclusion of each bracket game who, in your opinion, was the Most Valuable Opponent.

As always good sportsmanship is expected from you, your coaches, your players and your parents. It is our intention to host a first class tournament.
