Rutland Milk Car No. 347

Milk Car 347

Collection of David S. Barlow

Rutland Milk Car No. 347 is pictured at the "Milk Yard" -Yard 10- in Somerville, Massachusetts on an unknown date during the 1950s.  This is where much of the inbound milk loads for the Boston area were marshaled and unloaded.  At least two Boston & Maine Thermo-King-equipped milk cars are visible in the background.  No. 347 was part of the ten-car series 340-349 built by Merchants Despatch to a New York Central design.
