11/16: Dinner at Vinnie Testa's with a dozen folks and late night drinks in celebration of Nicole's birthday! 11/15: Saw a great lecture on the Great Molasses Flood by Boston historian Steve Puleo. See articles from Smithsonian and Yankee. Above: the wreckage of the elevated railroad. 11/14: Farewell party for the Göttes maan, who is relo'ing to India for a year! 11/13: Attended the first meeting of a revitalized Vendome residents' committee. 11/11: Began a series of Art Sundays with Inna. 11/10: Had a fuzzy hogan viewing with Matty, Nick, and Sam at the highly convenient Samuel Adams Brewhouse. 11/10: Ten days after visiting the Museum of Fine Arts with my Drawing class, my 2-D Design class spent the afternoon there! I'm glad it's free for NESAD students! 11/9: In a rare movie outing, saw the movie "Amélie" with Inna, Arao, Jkrieg, and a whole supporting cast. 11/8: Attended "Gaining Ground: Filling the Central Waterfront", a lecture by local historian Nancy Seasholes at Boston's Old State House 11/8: Albeit late, sent out DargonZine 14-8, with an interesting Editorial on writing as art. 11/6: Celebrated Sapient's 10th anniversary with four (or was it five?) big pieces of cake... 11/6: Voted for the first time in quite a while. 11/4: Spent the afternoon with Inna visiting the Trustees of Reservations' park at World's End in Hingham. 10/31: Before you allow anyone to convince you to attend a Landmark Forum, find out as much as you can online in order to make an informed decision. In addition to their site, visit sites like here, here, here, here, and here. 10/31: On Halloween, my drawing class convened at the Museum of Fine Arts. 10/30: Big poly day. 10/29: Just in time for my birthday, I had a piece of my art displayed in a public space for the first time in my life! 10/22: After many years at Shore.net, OrnothLand officially migrated and cut over to its new host here at cable provider RCN. Please report any errors! 10/21: Gorged on a neighborhood pancake breakfast benefiting the Commonwealth Ave Mall in the morning, then gorged on Indian food in the evening at Diva with Inna, Liz, and Javier. 10/20: Design class took a field trip to the Fort Point Artists' Community open studios. 10/19: Neat! Neat! Neat! Caught punk grandparents the Damned with Inna, Mizago, and Tim. 10/18: Tried out the newest and closest Indian restaurant, Delhi Bistro on Boylston Street. 10/16: BRC meeting. 10/14: In the year that I've owned my new bike, I've cycled more than 3,400 miles. That's enough to ride from Boston to Austin Texas and back! 10/14: Spent the day in Maine visiting family. 10/12: Caught local old school ska band the Allstonians at the Common Ground in Allston. 10/12: Had fun with Adam from the Pressure Cooker as he made an appearance on Internet radio station radioboston.com. 10/12: It took RCN six trips and as many weeks to set up my cable modem, but I've finally joined the ranks of the well-connected! 10/8: The Puggle fell from a table and injured his rear leg, but after a traumatic vet trip he's agreed to just walk it off... 10/7: Spent the day with Inna, visiting the Chase Gallery, the Arden Gallery, and the amazing Harvard University Art Museums. 10/5: Spent the evening socializing with coworkers Nick & Eric. 10/2: Latest read was the relatively outdated "Web Performance Tuning" nutshell book. |
