2/7: Effective today, after 18 years as an informal group, The Dargon Project, Inc. became a registered corporation! 2/7: The biggest blizzard since the 1996 April Fools storm dumped more than a foot of snow in Boston. Pix in the Scrapbook. 2/4: Orny's visual refresh of Onyx Consulting's web site finally went live! 2/1: Hit Diva and then Mamma Mia!, the musical based on the songs of Abba, with Brac & Inna. 2/1: Breakup of the space shuttle Columbia. 1/29: Saw renowned type designer Matthew Carter speak at MassArt. Carter's amazing work includes ITC Galliard, Bell Centennial, and Microsoft Typography's Verdana, Tahoma, Georgia, and Nina screen fonts. 1/28: Received my grades from my first portfolio review at NESAD. 1/25: Biked down to the Arnold Arboretum, where the Boston Park Rangers led a tour of my favorite area: the conifer section. 1/17: Looked on as future hall of famer Reggie Miller and the Indiana Pacers allowed the Celtics to get away with another one at the Fleet Center. 1/17: After 18 years without it, DargonZine finally sought publicity by placing its first commercial advertisement, on Google. |

1/14: Read Alan Watt's fabulous "The Wisdom of Insecurity", which clearly draws the parallel between Zen Buddhism and Existentialism, and does the best job I've ever seen of demonstrating the postive transformational power of an Existentialist approach to life. 1/14: Once again registered for the Pan-Mass Challenge, my annual cycling fundraiser for the Jimmy Fund and Boston's Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. 1/13: A fearfully busy spring semester begins at the New England School of Art & Design. 1/12: Just in time for the opening of the I-90 connector, I finally got around to reading Dan McNichol's "The Big Dig" after receiving a copy as a gift. 1/10: Enhanced my digicam skills by reading the absolutely exceptional "Adobe Photoshop 7.0 For Photographers". 1/10: Salon interviewed Marshall Miller, activist acquaintance and founder of the Alternatives to Marriage Project, in their article "Unwedded bliss". 1/8: Spent the evening with Blinke at Trident. 1/3: Caught local ska grandaddies the Allstonians at the Common Ground. 1/2: Received my Pedco Ultraclamp, a handlebar camera mount with a universal joint! Sweet! 1/2: Completed William Barrett's influential 1958 "Irrational Man", which puts Existentialism in perfect context within the historical evolution of western philosophy. |
