Mt. Everest (8,848m/29,028ft): Kala Pattar offers a close up view of Mt. Everest's southwest face.  Some key milestones of the southwest ascent can be seen including the windswept South Col, the steep face leading to the South Summit, the famous Hillary Step, and the peak itself.
