Clan Kyrkonnel ~ Flyss ~ Letter to Myrmior

Greetings, Lord Myrmior:

You wished to know a bit about me. Let me relay a bit of my tale.

I have always been quiet and bookish, I taught myself to read at a very young age. I have also always possessed the second sight; whenever I would pass a pond or puddle or trough, I would see someone else's reflection there instead of my own. If it was a lass wearing a white dress and flowers in her hair, I knew she was soon to fall in love and marry. If it was a lad with scrapes and bruises and a mournful frown on his face, I knew he would soon go off to battle or fosterage. These visions never spoke, however, so it took many years for me to glean what was important to from these silent, vivid images. I suppose I came to Temuair not just to keep company with my sisters but also to learn more about my mysterious gifts.

In the spirit of learning, I have become a priest of Luathas, the god of all knowledge and wisdom. And in obedience to a vision he sent me, I have taken a vow of silence so that I might learn gain greater insight by listening and watching rather than talking. So do not be mislead by my silence, and do not be surprised to see me staring into a river or basin of water. I have been strangely blessed but my gift is the best part of who and what I am.

Go wisely, Flyss Kyrkonnel
