Clan Kyrkonnel ~ Flyss ~ Poem: A Hilye for Lomas

Poem: A Hilye for Lomas

written by Raeven, transcribed by Flyss

In the name of Glioca, Compassionate and Merciful,

transmitted by Raeven Kyrkonnel, beloved of Lomas Velucci,

for her departed love in grief and sorrow for her loss.

When asked to describe Lomas, may Glioca shine on him,

Raeven would say:

He was tall and strongly built, a Priest by nature and by calling.

His hair was violet and curled upon his nape, his eyes were grey.

He had powerful opinions, a great intellect, but even greater

was his resolution to Guide the mundane, to help the Aisling,

to protect the hunter, and to honour Glioca in everything he did and said.

He was the most generous-hearted of men,

the most loyal, affectionate, and truest of them,

and the noblest in word and deed.

Whoever saw him unexpectedly was in awe of him,

and whoever associated with him familiarly loved him.

Anyone who would describe him would say,

I never saw, before or after him, the like of him.

Peace be upon him.
