Openings are available for my summer ensembles for children and youth. The program offers playing in a group and learning the skills involved with interacting with other musicians. Students study music arrangement using a computer, improvisation and theory (harmony & ear training). Each program consists of six 3-hours sessions, and is limited to 6 students.

Session breakdown:

1 Hour of playing
½ hour Theory: Harmony & ear training
½ hour improvisation techniques/arranging
1 hour playing

Each program will host a professional musician performing and talking with the students about his/her experience in music. Each session will conclude with a performance featuring the pieces that the ensemble was working on.

Programs are divided into beginning, intermediate and advance levels. Students are placed to an ensemble with students of the same musical level. Students can choose from the following styles: Latin/Brazilian, Blues and Jazz, Rock and Funk.
