QUEEN VICTORIA AND PRINCE ALBERT.
These items can be framed together. A Brief third person Autographed Note on sheet of stationary bearing her engraved crest. The Queen writes, “The Queen has seen these.” This comes with a cabinet photograph of the Queen (4-1/2" x 6-1/2"). Prince Albert’s signature is on a (2-5/8" x 2-3/4") dispatch box slip on which he writes “Immediate/The/Earl Russell/” and signs “Albert.” John Russell was Prime Minister to Queen Victoria from 1846 to 1852. The autograph comes with a handsome engraving ( 6" x 8") of Prince Albert. The items together are $550 or $300 separately.
 
     
  PRINCESS BEATRICE.
Dec. 31, 1896.
Four page ALS To Lady Martin on black bordered stationary in which Queen Victoria’s youngest daughter, Princess Beatrice, reveals her feelings after the death of her husband, Prince Henry of Battenberg. “…Christmas could not fail to be very trying … the terrible blank my beloved husband has left in the home circle seems to make itself more keenly felt. It seems so hard to begin a new year without him or at last the cheering hope of a happy meeting before very long … I must bear with patience the heavy crop God has seen fit to lay on me…very sincerely, Beatrice.” The letter is framed with a cabinet photograph (minor spotting) of Beatrice and Henry and with a mourning card. Gold frame (13" x 17") and purple matting. $250.

QUEEN MARIE OF ROUMANIA.
Marie of Roumania is the granddaughter of Queen Victoria and daughter of Prince Alfred and Princess Marie (daughter of the Tsar), the Duke and Duchess of Edinborough. 4x8 photograph in 7-1/2" x 11-1/2" photographer'smat framed in grey matting and a gold 12 x 17 frame. Signed boldly "Marie Princess of Roumania 1903 Bucharest" across the photo and mat. $500.

SIGNED PHOTOGRAPH OF PRINCE GEORGE, DUKE OF KENT, 1928.
The Duke of Kent was the fourth and most artistic son of King George and Queen Mary. He died tragically in a plane crash in 1942 leaving Princess Marina of Kent as his widow. This handsome 5X7 photograph of the Prince in a suit with folded arms is signed George 1928 on the 6X9 mount. $250.

PRINCESS MARGARET,
APRIL 19, 1952.
Two page ALS (5" x 8") on black-bordered Windsor Castle stationary to Lady Waverly at Easter, in which Princess Margaret discusses her feelings about the recent death of her father, King George VI. “He was such a wonderful person, the very heart and center of our happy family… Everything seemed to come from him and no one could have had a more devoted and thoughtful father. He was always so very much alive … at this lovely Easter time he doesn’t feel very far away…Yours very sincerely, Margaret.” Comes with envelope addressed in Margaret’s hand. $750.00.

THE QUEEN MOTHER,
DECEMBER 31, 1959.
Four page ALS (5" x 8") written on the Queen Mother’s personal stationary to Lady Waverly, thanking her for sending books on flowers and talking about her continuing sense of loss at the holidays eight years after the death of the King. Includes the following: “Dearest Ava … I do hope that Christmas time did not make you feel too sad. It is such a thing of memories I find, and one is thankful when it is over …" The letter is signed "…with my love…yours affectionately, Elizabeth R.” $800.00.

PRINCE CHARLES,
JULY 6, 1982.
Two page typed and handwritten letter on Buckingham Palace stationary, to his royal naval commander shortly after the birth of Prince William. This letter is unusual because the Prince writes both about Prince William and about the Falklands. The Prince addresses it “Dear David,” and signs “Yours ever, Charles” in his own hand. The typed portion includes: “the reaction to the news (of Prince William’s birth) has been overwhelming and thoroughly heart-warming and we are rapidly discovering what is to be proud parents…” Prince Charles adds a Postscript in his own hand, “P.S. Many thanks for your excellent notes on the Falkland points. I am now turning my attention to the South Atlantic fund, as patron. I am frightened that the whole thing may go in the wrong direction if I don’t take a serious interest now ... Give my love to Irene. C.” $900.00
