Camille Llewellyn, RYT 500, PRYT

completed her 200 hour yoga training in 2001 at Yoga and Health in Bethlehem. She is a 500 hour registered Yoga Alliance Teacher. Her 500 hour registration reflects advanced training that covered the following areas: anatomy, yoga therapy, yoga teaching techniques and methodology, meditation, Yoga breathing techniques, ethics and yoga philosophy.

 

She is also a certified Phoenix Rising yoga therapy practitioner in the Lehigh Valley.  She offers private one-on-one sessions in the Lehigh Valley. She has served as a mentor for Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy certification students since 2005.

She is also a certified Phoenix Rising yoga therapy Group Facilitator and teaches an eight week stress management program. This program entitled “Turn Stress into Bliss” uses both yoga and meditation combined with group discussion to offer participants a life changing method to handle stress in their lives and reduce symptoms of stress related disorders. Camille is also a mentor for students studying for this certification.

She has taught in the past at Yoga and Health in Bethlehem, Warren Hospital and Banko Center – LVH Muhlenberg, Health Spring – Bethlehem. She currently teaches at  Arndt Lutheran Church , Forks,  Inner Peace Yoga -St. Matthew’s Lutheran church, LVH Fitness Center, Muhlenberg and the Wellness Community, Bethlehem which offers programs for people with cancer and their families. Camille also has taught Yoga at Lehigh Carbon Community College as a credit course.

Combining her love of dogs and yoga Camille offers Doga classes for dogs and their human friends.

Camille offers Yoga demos for Lehigh Valley Hospital’s cancer survivor workshops. She has offered free classes for children with special needs and adults with special needs.

Camille emphasizes safety in her classes. Her classes range from very gentle chair yoga to intermediate Kripalu style yoga. She adapts her classes to meet her students’ needs and teaches students to adjust postures to match their own bodies’ capabilities. Her students leave her classes with a sense of peace and well being.

Camille also holds a B.A. in Modern Languages and a B.S. and M.S. in Computer Science. She was a software engineer for 18 years before changing her career path to Yoga Teacher and Phoenix Rising Yoga therapist in 2004.

She is a member of Yoga Alliance, International Association of Yoga Therapists and the Kripalu Yoga Teachers Association.

 

Her interests besides yoga include walking, reading, cooking and spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren and her Tibetan Terrier Buddy.
