14. Patrick Devereaux³ Whitten (Augustus Devereaux (Dev)², Joab¹) (#84) was born in Willow, Amherst County, Virginia August 22, 1885. Patrick died January 27, 1965 at 79 years of age.

He married Effie Loving Nuckols October 20, 1912. (Effie Loving Nuckols is #279.) Effie was born February 18, 1894. Effie was the daughter of Robert Nuckols and Sallie Stinnett. Effie died January 27, 1965 at 70 years of age.

Patrick Devereaux Whitten and Effie Loving Nuckols had the following children:

+ 65 i. Curtis Leonard⁴ Whitten was born January 13, 1914.

+ 67 iii. Augustus Devereaux Whitten was born June 01, 1919.

68 iv. Mamie Louise Whitten (#301) was born December 26, 1921. She married Joseph Carl Ogden October 25, 1938. (Joseph Carl Ogden is #302.) Joseph was born in Amherst County, Virginia April 16, 1918. Joseph was the son of Frank Carl Ogden and Esther Ruby Clements. Joseph died December 14, 1949 at 31 years of age. (See Joseph Carl Ogden for the continuation of this line.)

69 v. Mildred Easter Whitten (#308) was born April 12, 1925. She married Robert Ramsey March 31, 1940. (Robert Ramsey is #314.) (See Robert Ramsey for the continuation of this line.)
