4. Augustus Devereaux (Dev)2 Whitten (Joab1) (#76) was born in Willow, Amherst County, Virginia May 05,
1855. Augustus died May 31, 1916 at 61 years of age. His body was interred in Willow, Amherst County, Virginia, Whitten
Family Cemetery.
He married Mary Jane Clements November 1874. (Mary Jane Clements is #77.) Mary was born in Willow,
Amherst County, Virginia December 21, 1858. Mary was the daughter of James P. (Lanlord) Clements and Eliza Jane Allen.
Mary died April 18, 1937 at 78 years of age. Her body was interred in Willow, Amherst County, Virginia, Whitten Family
Cemetery.

Annie Eliza3 Whitten (#80) was born in Willow, Amherst County, Virginia
February 21, 1877. Annie died June 15, 1931 at 54 years of age. Her body was interred in Willow, Amherst County,
Virginia, Mt. Horeb Cemetery. She married James T. Lawhorn December 20, 1900. (James T. Lawhorn is
#91.) James was born in Amherst County, Virginia October 12, 1877. James was the son of Lucas Thompason Lawhorn and
Matilda Ann Wheeler. James died November 18, 1954 at 77 years of age. His body was interred in Willow, Amherst County,
Virginia, Mt. Horeb Cemetery. (See James T. Lawhorn for the continuation of this line.)

Mary Lelia Whitten (#56) was born in Willow, Amherst County, Virginia November 19, 1883. She married Jesse Wynnfield Nuckols 08 May 1912. (Jesse Wynnfield Nuckols is #50.) Jesse was born in
Lexington, Rockbridge County, Virginia 11 August 1889. Jesse was the son of Spotswood Nuckols and Laura Pulse.
Jesse died 21 November 1960 Alexandria, VA, USA, at 71 years of age. His body was interred Arlington, Virginia,
USA, Arlington National Cemetery. Jesse served in the military. (See Jesse Wynnfield Nuckols

is #470.) John was born in Augusta County, Virginia July 22, 1884. John died November 18, 1964 at 80 years of age.
His body was interred in Willow, Amherst County, Virginia, Amherst Cemetery. (See John David
