Email is an easy way to send messages to anyone who has an email address.
|

Use Mail & News Preferences (under the Options menu) to set up Netscape so that you can send and receive email.

To send or check your email, choose Netscape Mail in the Window menu

Clicking on an email link in a web site (e.g., send your comments to lbaci@sch.ci.lexington.ma.us) will also launch Netscape Mail and open a window for you to type your message.

Netscape Mail lets you send files and pictures as well as text messages. You can also link to a web site by clicking on URLs in the text of a message.

If you use email a lot, you may prefer a program that is designed just for email.One of the most popular programs for both Macs and PCs is Eudora, which is available in both free (Eudora Light) and commercial versions (Eudora Pro). Adam Engst, who recently wrote a book on Eudora maintains a Eudora web site that has links to many other web sites, mailing lists, and discussion groups that focus on Eudora.
