no, monchie is not a commie. in fact, he is much more evil than a commie. monchie b. monchum is one of those horrible "liberals" - you know, the people whose policies have destroyed this country as well as the roman empire. at least that's what they say on talk radio.

currently a registered democrat and formerly a republican, monchie has always been interested in politics, tho he has no interest in running for office. he does, however, love to argue about politics. in fact, he's one of the ops (operators) on efnet #issues and dalnet #politics on irc.

but even though monchie is a liberal, he's a politically incorrect liberal. one of the things he dislikes most about his hometown, new york city, is the rent control/rent stabilization program for housing, a horrible system that even some nyc conservatives defend (probably because they or a relative benefit from it). recently, monchie got involved in a flamewar on several nyc.* usenet newsgroups about the ultimately unsuccessful proposal to lift all price controls on nyc rental housing.
