A Word From The NCASDLA President

Finally, Spring is here and the WASCA Spring Festival is behind us. As far as I can tell, it has lived up to all of its expectations. The Davises are to be commended for choosing such a fun theme and the decorations were spectacular. As always, the food available on the buffet was excellent with a great deal of variety and the late evening ice cream bar was as popular as always.

The staff callers sang in their usual great voices with their magical choreography as could be testified to by the smiles on the faces of the dancers. When some of the callers did duets, the harmony was absolutely beautiful. Another well attended program was "DBD" or Dance by Definition and Introduction to Plus dancing.

This year's callers' seminar was conducted by Jerry Story. It was well attended by many of the local callers and several of the staff callers assisted. Many of the callers took down good notes to take back to their local organizations referring to dancer and teaching problems. Thanks, Jerry, for such a thorough discussion.
