Chairman's Message
As the new year gets under way the Worcester County Section Executive Committee looks forward to your increased participation in section activities. The ExComm encourages all section members to participate in upcoming section activities and to benefit from networking with your fellow IEEE members. With several activities already planned for this year and the recent formation of an IEEE Women in Engineering group, the ExComm anticipates an exciting 2005 and getting better acquainted with many of you. The ExComm always welcomes your input, involvement and contributions toward making Worcester section activities more meaningful professional experiences.

IEEE Women In Engineering (WIE) Worcester County Section member Desiree Awiszio has volunteered to chair the WIE affinity group in central Mass. The group will provide section members with additional professional development and networking opportunities. Special events to look for in 2005 include: Engineers Week On Wednesday, February 23rd, the annual joint IEEE/ASME Engineers Week dinner meeting will take place at Tweeds in Worcester. Mr. Scott Rackey, president of CellTech Power, will give a presentation on fuel cell technology and share his insights on the opportunities for small scale distributed power generation.
