Wallace & Gromit: Curse of the Were-RabbitSynopsisWallace & Gromit are in the business of protecting prize vegetables from the enemy of every vegetable fair in the world: fluffy bunny rabbits. When an accident creates a powerful were-rabbit out to munch on the whole town's vegetables, Wallace & Gromit go after it. What I ThoughtFor those of you unfamiliar with the Wallace & Gromit, they are a claymation British human & dog duo brought to you by the makers of Chicken Run (and in fact, W&G predate Chicken Run by a bunch of years). Although not as funny or as big as Chicken Run, W&G contain the same type of gentle British humor. It also contains the super-careful attention to detail; after all, the whole movie is done by people who move little clay pieces. If you have OCD (obsessive-compulsive disorder), this is the industry for you... Anyway, so it's quite funny. Even at the 9 pm showing there were plenty of kids in the audience, though just like Chicken Run, it can truly be enjoyed by all ages. There is plenty of adult humor and double entendres for adults to grasp. And there's also just something so funny about a bunch of bunnies being sucked from the ground and flying around gently in W&G's machine, as if in zero gravity. They are so cute, constantly waving at each other & rubbing noses. W&G may be a little dull for today's kids, who expect lots of action and noise. If your kid is the quieter sort (either because she is naturally quiet or on Paxil), and if you appreciate a fun, slow, and gently humorous movie, this is one for you. |
