Wedding Crashers

Synopsis

Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson are a pair of wedding crashers who insinuate themselves into women's affections during weddings. Things get tricky when Wilson's eye catches the daughter of a powerful politician, and Vaughn gets snagged by her crazy sister.

What I Thought

Yes, it's happened. I don't have much to say.

By now you must have heard that this movie is funny, there's great chemistry between Vaughn and Wilson, etc., etc., etc. All of that is true, the movie IS pretty funny, they're great together. What is it with Owen Wilson that makes it so easy to work with him? Every movie I've seen him in, he's had great chemistry with his co-star. Maybe it's the nose? Hmm...

Anyway, so yeah, all that is true. I know it's a comedy, but I still felt unexpectedly empty at the end. I didn't think it was believable that Wilson falls for the woman in just a day or two. But I didn't mind so much because the movie made me laugh.

As to criticism, besides the above, I thought the movie was too long. I was feeling quite antsy at the 1.5 hour mark and I knew there was still a half hour to go. The movie felt both rushed and a bit slow.

As I said before, I don't have much to say. I'm done. Finito.

Next up (probably)... the Brothers Grimm, the Aristocrats, or Deuce Bigalow.... do I want uptight smarminess, filthy humor, or Rob "prostitute man" Schneider? *sigh*
